Kim Dawson

Dr. Kimberley Dawson, Professor in Sport and Exercise Psychology is the current Executive Director of the Centre for Healthy Communities. Dr. Dawson was involved in the development of the Centre over 10 years ago. The Centre continues to grow in both program offerings and the number of individuals participating. Dr. Dawson’s expertise involves understanding factors related to both maintaining regular exercise and competing in high performance domains. She teaches courses in Children in Physical Activity and Sport/Exercise Psychology.

In my role as Program Manager of Sun Life Centre for Healthy Communities I am driven to create programs that inspire our communities to engage in wellness practices that improve overall health as well as create spaces that are inclusive, meaningful, and FUN! I am passionate about removing barriers to access community programming and connecting research with practice.

Amy Gayman

In my position as Research Coordinator for Sun Life Centre for Healthy Communities, I support and conduct research to inform the design, implementation, and refinement of Sun Life CHC programs, resources and initiatives. It is a pleasure to collaborate with researchers, community partners, and Sun Life CHC members to develop and share information that promotes sport for development, physical activity involvement, wellness, and healthy living.
